Dangerous Goods
Defined as any quantity of FLAMABLE, EXPLOSIVE or CORROSIVE material.
These items include but are not limited to:

Any item with alcohol listed as its first ingredient |

Cleaning solutions |
Poisons |
Fireworks |
Pressure containers |
Gas |
Tear gas or pepper spray |
Gas powered tools |
Wet-cell batteries |

Processing Fees:
A third party inspects these items and the cost of preparing the paperwork varies from product to product depending on the time and quantity of paperwork required. The minimum charges incurred for processing these items are:
- US $150.00 minimum, per category of product (not per package)
- US $35.00 per UN Box, only if the shipment needs to be repacked.
Documents Required:
The following documents are required for processing "Dangerous Goods" items (Additional documents might be required based on the product type. This will be determined upon receipt of the package and included in the Action Item)
- MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) this can be obtained from either the shipper or the manufacturer's website.
- Invoice of product
Consumer Commodities
Defined as small quantities of personal use items.
These items include but are not limited to:

Processing Fees:
These items while they are considered consumer commodities must be registered with Homeland Security and shipped to Trinidad once every two weeks. Packages are included in the shipment once the service charges are accepted by the consignee. The minimum charge incurred for processing these items is the following:
Timeframes
Dangerous Goods:
Our Miami processing centre is required by law to process and ship packages classed as Dangerous Goods to the ultimate consignee within fourteen calendars days from the date the packages were received. It should be also noted that, by law our Miami processing centre must destroy unprocessed Dangerous Goods packages after the fourteen calendar day period.
Consumer Commodities:
Packages that qualify as consumer commodity can be held for longer than two weeks but the time frame for processing these items may take at least two additional weeks for processing these packages to the ultimate destination
Options available should the consignee refuse the service charges
Abandonment / Destruction:
US$25.00 minimum
Return to Shipper:
Estimated charges by the carrier United Parcel Service (UPS) US$20.00 minimum
Package retrieval:
The customer must pay the Miami processing fee, which is based on the weight of the package can be released to the consignee or third party contracted by the consignee to retrieve the said package from our Miami processing centre.
